SIGN UP FOR TRAINING CLASSES USING THE NE LTAP TRAINING MODULE.

The NE-LTAP division of U of Nebraska – Lincoln will administer erosion control training to help meet MS4 requirements of Nebraska’s Department of Roads and the Phase II MS4 communities of Nebraska. This training is offered in partnership with NDOR, LTAP and H2O (Phase II communities).

This program will consist of two separate courses which are crucial to the training and certification of people engaged in building and maintaining Nebraska’s transportation system as well as some commercial and residential construction at the state, county and phase II community levels.

For those individuals required to take the course exams to be certified, this certification will be valid for a three year period starting at the completion of the course and passing of the exam. A 70 percent of correct answers is required on the multiple choice exams.

Two primary courses are being offered:

  • Erosion and Sediment Control Basics for Inspectors (1 day)
  • Erosion and Sediment Control Basics for Design (2 day)

The program offers the opportunity for training and/or certification. An optional short exam is offered for the Inspector course. A passing grade of a 70 percent certifies a person for three years as an Inspector for NDOR projects. This certification can be used by other agencies / muncipalities as well. NDOR employees and some personnel who do work on NDOR projects will be required to obtain certification. If you have questions relating to who needs certification – please call NE - LTAP office: Dennis Smith – 402-472-0976.
